Last week I went to Laguna Seca for a track day with one of our great local groups, Your Private Track Days. We had good weather and lots of expensive toys came out for a day of lapping. Unfortunately the Race Wagon decided it didn’t want to play. On the third lap of session one I started hearing a rod knock and the oil temp got hot fast. I put it on the trailer and now it’s time to pull the motor and diagnose the bottom end for damage. Ah well, s@#t happens, I’ll have to test my latest mods another day…
