Boy, what a scorcher! This weekend was the annual VARA Oktoberfest race weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway, featuring the Trans Am/B Sedan season finale. Temps were in the triple digits, I saw 104 at race time on Sunday, but the Race Wagon kept its cool while I drove the wheels (and tires) off it. We qualified on the pole, and finished in second place for the race (and for the season) to the 2013 season champ, Troy Ermish. Congrats to Troy, and to the new TABS 2.5 West race series for a great 2013 season! The 2013 Points Sheet.
The wagon now moves on to its new owner, Steve “Lotta” Villata and his Wagon Mafia crew who joined us at the track for this weekend. Hopefully we’ll be seeing Steve racing the wagon next season.
