I recently purchased a 2000 Carbir CS2 P2 car for the 2023 SCCA season. It had belonged to the previous owner for over fifteen years, but was last on track four and a half years ago. So even though it is in excellent condition, we had to bring it back to life. The boys at Auto Spa helped me get it all prepped and out for a test day at Sonoma Rcwy last week, and boy-o-boy, this car is gonna be a fun one. It’s kind of old school vs the modern day P2s with all their lightweight chassis’, motorcycle engines, and sequential gearboxes, but I’m happy to go with the familiar car engine layout and H-pattern Hewland. Can’t wait for the new season to start…
