We would like to thank all the participants who joined us for the inaugural 2025 season of the Sports Racer Challenge. Our goal was to build participation in vintage sports racer competition and to enjoy the paddock camaraderie that comes along with it. We hope to see the Series come back for 2026, and if you have any ideas or sponsorship that you’d like to discuss, please contact us.
This weekend’s finale was held at Thunderhill Raceway with SVRA. With a Test day on Friday, and mixed Group racing on Saturday and Sunday, we enjoyed great Fall racing weather, good action on the track, and yes, some partying in the pits. As often happens by the last race of the season, budgets and cars have taken a hit and turnout is a bit lower. We only had three stalwart racers competing in the SRCS this weekend, and Sunday’s race left just one man standing and taking the checkered flag. Unfortunately Matt Rose was sidelined with a punctured tire on lap 2, Dave Jalen also went out on lap 2 with fueling issues, leaving myself as the sole sports racer at the end.
