Just finished up a weekend of racing at Thunderhill Raceway Park for the SFR SCCA season finale. One week ago we had ten FCs signed up for Group 4, with an even split of first and second gen cars. Unfortunately we had only three FCs make the show, two of them first-gen cars. NorCal fires, Halloween, the flu, alien invasion, I just don’t know??? The first-gen car other than mine was newcomer Peter Gregor, so a big welcome to him and his ’98 Tatuus.
Well they say it only takes two horses to make a race, so we just made the best of it. Lyn Greenhill and I split the wins and had a good time racing against each other all weekend. During Race 1 in the video below, I was battling my wicked loose Van Diemen while trying to keep Lyn at bay, let’s just say it didn’t work ;-)
A big “Thank You” goes out to all the SCCA volunteer workers who keep us racers safe while were out having fun. Thank a teacher if you can read, thank a flagger if you can race…
