This weekend I made the 1400 mile roadtrip out to Arizona for the AZ-SCCA Vintage race weekend at Phoenix Int'l Raceway. The rod knock I heard at Laguna Seca last month ended up being quite a bit of damage. The crank and the #3 rod were damaged beyond repair. We also discovered that there was some "questionable" machining done by a previous owner of this shortblock, and that some of the parts were not as advertised.
