Well, the 2013 season prep and planning is under way. Today I’m sitting on the couch, watching the Mavericks Big Wave contest on the internet, getting ready to watch my ‘Niners beat the Falcons, and enjoying a review of my 2012 season (boy, I had a lot of fun). I’m also penciling together a track day schedule for the upcoming year, hopefully I can make most of them. VARA has already had it’s annual race school last wknd, and we had a lot of new faces interested in racing with us. That’s great because we always need fresh blood to keep the sport alive.
Racing starts in March, so I’ve got some work to do… I’m currently in the process of a drivetrain swap. A fresh L20b is going in along with a fresh 5 speed, just waiting on a new clutch disc to arrive. My rear axles need rebuilding as they were getting pretty sloppy at the end of last season, I’ve got a small pile of good spares, so I’ll dig out the best of the bunch for ’13. I also need to address a couple of wiring issues. Suspension and brakes got pretty well dialed in last season, so I’ll just give them a good going over. Can’t wait for the 2013 action to start!
