This autumn’s Charity Challenge was a real winner! CSRG exceeded their $1MM goal in total charitable contributions this weekend, the weather was fantastic, the racing was great, Saturday night’s dinner was scrumptious, and the Cub/Boy Scouts entertained us with Soapbox Derby races in the garages, not much else one could ask for.
I raced my ’65 Bobsy SR3 in the USRRC <2.0L Class, and had some great battles with David Hagan in his Porsche 910 and with Geir Ramlath in his Lotus 23b. The quality of the cars and drivers in this Class is truly remarkable, good clean fast racing with a minimum of drama, gotta love it. The Bobsy was running great (thanks to the crew at Auto Spa) and we kept her on the Pole and the Podium all weekend.
