This was my first race weekend with the CSRG club and I was quite impressed. Not a cheap entry, but it was held at the fantastic Sonoma Raceway, it had a Friday afternoon test day, and a terrific club dinner and social Saturday night, so it was well worth the cost. We had a large contingent of small bore sports racers in Group 4 for this event, about 25 cars, including Elvas, Lotuses, Genies, Beachs, McClaren, Porsche, and, yes, my Bobsy. It was the biggest group of small bore sports racers I’ve seen in years, with good, clean racing throughout. But the Formula Fords had us beat with almost 50 cars in their run group!
The primary purpose of this event was to raise funds for the Speedway Children’s Charity organization. A portion of the entry fees and weekend sales from Wine Country Motorsports went to the charity, as well as a charity auction and donations collected for the lunchtime rides in two seat race cars. The rides are at pace and quite the thrill for the passengers, I’ll be sure to get a seat in my car for next year.

Thanks. Had my mirrors filled with one the whole race as well ;-)

Nice to see a Bobsy filling the mirrors of a Lotus 23! Nice job.
