Perfect weather for racing with SFR SCCA and the Formula Car Challenge. Saturday went great, good Qual and Race, hanging out with friends, car running well. Sunday threw me a curve ball when my truck decided it didn't want to come to work (first time my tow rig has ever let me down), and then I ran out of gas with a couple laps to go during the Sunday race, doh! Ah well, still … [Read more...] about SEPT ’19 SCCA LAGUNA SECA

SFR SCCA SONOMA, JULY ’19
We had a great turnout for this weekend's SCCA Regional race at Sonoma, in our Group 1 of FA/F4/FM we had 29 cars! This being a Formula Car Challenge event certainly help build the interest. I raced my Pro Mazda with Group 4 which this weekend included FA and F4. I learned that F4 is made up mostly of young-ins transitioning out of go-carts, and making their … [Read more...] about SONOMA SCCA MAJOR, JAN ’19
VARA BBB 2018
VARA had their season finale this week at Willow Springs Int'l Raceway. Mornings were in the high 20's (!!!), afternoons in the 60s, with sunny (but smokey) skies all weekend. The first groups out each day had quite the challenge to get their cars started and warmed up, I went out mid-morning with about five square feet of duct tape covering up most of my inlet ducts. Lucas … [Read more...] about VARA BBB 2018
