Finally an unblemished race weekend with the new race car! The Carbir ran perfect all weekend even with the big heat we had, 85F for Saturday's race and 95F for Sunday's. I think we finally got all the bugs out. We had a combined Group 1 & 2, about 25 cars from the Wings and Slicks classes. I had some good racing with my friend Tao Takaoka in his orange FS, as we swapped … [Read more...] about SFR SCCA THUNDERHILL, JUNE 2023

SVRA COMES TO TOWN
SVRA made their annual Spring swing to Northern/Central California with back-to-back race weekends at Sonoma and Laguna Seca Raceways this month. They brought their familiar cavalcade of events including SVRA historic car racing, Trans-Am pro racing, Optima Battery Street Car Challenge, and the Hagerty car show. The turn-out was pretty small, and the Club mixed all the open wheel and sports racers … [Read more...] about SFR SCCA March ’23, T-HILL

While knifetape has definitely made the task easier, it still takes a very patient … [Read more...] about CARBIR GETS A NEW LOOK
TEST DAY
I recently purchased a 2000 Carbir CS2 P2 car for the 2023 SCCA season. It had belonged to the previous owner for over fifteen years, but was last on track four and a half years ago. So even though it is in excellent condition, we had to bring it back to life. The boys at Auto Spa helped me get it all prepped and out for a test day at Sonoma Rcwy last week, and boy-o-boy, this … [Read more...] about TEST DAY
