SANTA CAME EARLY

December 2, 2009 by Troy Leave a Comment

Christmas came a little early to my garage this year, I must have been on Santa's "nice" list for a change. My race prepped Mikuni 44s arrived from Wolf Creek Racing. Todd Walrich does a fantastic job building and prepping these carbs, and he's very helpful with your questions to get them setup right on your race car. I had him build a set for my 240Z a few seasons ago, and … [Read more...] about SANTA CAME EARLY

WAGON GETS AN IRS

November 24, 2009 by Troy 1 Comment

My fabricator, Paul Moore, just out does himself sometimes. I wish I could take credit for this clean install, but I know when to leave the tricky parts to the pros. So I may have prepped the patient, but Paul did the surgery. With a little time and a few spacers, we should be able to get all the bumpsteer out,  and get the camber/caster/toe just … [Read more...] about WAGON FRONT SUSPENSION

WAGON DIET

November 16, 2009 by Troy Leave a Comment

The Wagon lost its suspension, steering, and rear drivetrain today. The fabrication of the front coil-overs, lower control arms, front crossmember, and steering upgrades are almost done, so we had to get rid of the old stuff. While we were on a roll, we test fitted a rear fender flare. … [Read more...] about WAGON DIET

A PASSENGER SEAT?

October 18, 2009 by Troy 2 Comments

I made the decision early on with this racecar build to have a passenger seat. I used to have a sports car and a race car, but those days are gone for a while, so I wanted to combine the two. I enjoy track days and doing some instruction, so a second seat comes in pretty handy. Since some of my buddies are a little bigger than I am, I wanted to set up the seat rails so I could … [Read more...] about A PASSENGER SEAT?
