This weekend the San Francisco Region SCCA club co-sponsored their annual Vintage race weekend at Laguna Seca Raceway with HSR-West. The combination turned out a huge event with almost 200 participants, and over 55 cars alone in the over-subscribed Small-Bore group (under 2.4L). Adding a couple more invited clubs such as the Factory Five Cobras and Spec Panoz's made for some … [Read more...] about SCCA VINTAGE, LAGUNA SECA 2011

STRING ‘IM UP!
In prep for this upcoming weekend's SCCA Vintage race weekend at Laguna Seca, I took the Race Wagon down to the secret location of the IEM Racing bat-cave for a suspension and steering tune-up. I like that they cover, and sponsor, the amateur club racing world, … [Read more...] about CLASSIC MOTORSPORTS MAGAZINE
THE WAGON GETS A RACK
Every wagon needs a roof rack, and the Race Wagoon was looking naked without one. The factory rack weighed 16 pounds, so that just wasn't an option for a race car. So I went with the Radio Flyer red wagon theme and added some wood stakes to the roof. I used some large headed aluminum rivets for the carriage bolt look, and used some thick mounting tape to add a little elevation … [Read more...] about THE WAGON GETS A RACK
