I crewed for Matt Rose and Steve Villata on their first drives in their new vintage S2000s for a Friday test day before the race weekend. Matt just imported his ’79 Lola from England and Steve got his ’79 Tiga out of Portland. We got them in a bunch of good laps to figure out the issues with bringing an old race car back to life.
Matt and I joined the Big Formula car and Sports Racer Group 2 with our T492s for the weekend, racing in the CS2 Class, along with two DB S2s and a bunch of FAs, FCs, P1s and P2s. We’re a little outgunned for the Group but had some fun racing at the back of the pack.
