CHUMP CARS?

July 11, 2009 by Troy 3 Comments

Another new budget racing series is waving it's green flag  this year - Chump Cars. Its kind of a cross between 24 Hours of LeMons and the Grassroots Motorsports Challenge. $500 cars, top-level tracks, endurance stage lengths, definitely a way to go Racing On The Cheap. WAGON ROLLCAGE, part 2

July 3, 2009 by Troy 2 Comments

We got back to work and went a little hog-wild on the modifications... Just kidding. Today we cut out the inner cowl and seat braces with the plasma cutter. Pictures here show the previous owner's unique multi-link system. It anchors the rear diff to the frame rails at the forward leaf spring perches, so as to limit lateral movement while allowing … [Read more...] about DECISIONS, DECISIONS

RENO LeMONS

June 1, 2009 by Troy Leave a Comment

A friend of mine returned from competing at the 24 Hours of LeMons in Reno, Nevada with a new attitude about racing. He left a professional race car driver, hired to help the team bring home a win. He returned a quivering bowl of jello, babbling something like  "hunka hunka burnin' love" . While visiting him at the sanatarium, I did a little research and came across this news … [Read more...] about RENO LeMONS
