The official name may be the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, but it will always just be the Monterey Historics. This year I was not participating as a racing entry but as crew for a fellow racer in his 1962 Lotus 23b (he did great!). F1/Grand Prix cars were the marque of the event this year and with over 75 years worth of cars on display and on track, so the fans got all they could have hoped for. The 1960’s sports racer USRRC group had a terrific turnout with almost as many over 2.0L as under 2.0L cars. Throw in the Historic TransAms, IMSA, Saloons, and even IROCs, and you’ve got an event worthy of the hype.

Well said Troy. Great pictures too!
